PAHIATUA EWE FAIR. Wright, Ste-plienson and Co., Ltd., report: We offered a fair yarding of ewes to a good attendance at Pahiatua yesterday. Bidding was not brisk; nevertheless the majority of the yarding was sold at sound values. Wo made a clearance as follows: Account H. Cotter, 4-year ewes, 19/6, account E. W. Winkler, 4-year ewes, 18/6, 5-year ewes, 13/; account E. S. Heckler (in Conjunction), 4-year ewes, 19/10; 4year ewes, 25/1. Dalgety and Co., Ltd, report: At the above sale we yarded about 5000 ewes, the bulk of which came forward in good condition. There* was a large attendance of buyers from the Manawatu, Wairarapa and Bush districts. Competition was particularly keen for young ewes of good class, while htre was also an improvement in the market for 4 and 5-year ewes. Sales were effected as follows: Account E. * F. Heckler, 82 4 and 6-th owes, 25/1; 123 4-year ewes, 19/10 (these two lines being sold in conjunction with Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd.). Account F. B. Moore, 62 2-th ewes, 25/9; 103 6 and 8-th ewes, 20/10. Account W. D. Taylor, 344Ibth ewes, 23/6, 4-th, 23/3. Account H. H. Miller, 82 2-th ewes, 23/; 11.1 5-year ewes, 16/. Account Dr. C. P. Knight, 591 2-th ewes, 21/; 550 5year ewes, 15/. Account Ahrens and de Malmanehe, 80 4-th ewes, 22/7; 235 4-year ewes, 18/1; 202 5-year ewes, 16/3. Account J. D. Piper, 201 6-th and 4-year ewes, 16/11. Other lots were disposed of from 10/ to 14/0.
