BAND AND FIRE BRIGADE.
GALA ARRANGEMENTS. A meeting of the Fire Brigade and Municipal Band Gala and Sports Committees was held last night, to make further arrangements for the carnival to be held in the Park on the evening of Saturday, March 5. Mr. B. Braggins presided.
The offer of the Commercial Travellers, through Mr. D. N. EdVards, to control the side shows, was accepted with ihanks.
It was reported that the Darktown Band was arranging to stage a number of its popular turns. Arrangements for the procession, a feature of which will be the massed bands’ inarch, are well in hand.
