LAKE STEAMER SUNK.
SEVEN HUNDRED PILGRIMS ABOARD. MAJORITY SAVED. BERNE, February 18. (Received Sunday, 5.5 p.m.) A steamer with seven hundred pilgrims on board sunk while approaching the landing stage on Lake Como. The majority of the pilgrims were saved, but many were injured, between twenty and thirty seriously. The number of dead is not yet ascertained.—(A. and N.Z.)
