SCOUTS AND CUBS INSPECTED.
BY DOMINION COMMISSIONER. WORK OF COMMITTEE OUTLINED. There was a full muster of members of St. Matthew’s troop of Boy Scouts and the Cubs last evening upon the occasion of an inspection by Brigadier-General Andrew, Scout Commissioner for New Zealand. The Scouts paraded under Assistant Scoutmasters Dewar and Lamb and the Cubs under Cub Master D. Hubbard and Assistant Cub Master R. Robinson. General Andrew spoke to each boy individually during his inspection and later addressed the Scout Committee, speaking of the growth of the movement and outlining the lines of work upon which the committee should proceed. General Andrew selected two Scouts who he considered proficient to be assistant Scout masters. The following were present at the committee meeting: The Rev. W. Bullock (chairman), Mesdames, T. T. Denbee, W. B. Chcnnells, W. Bullock, Miss Brown, and Messrs H. M. Peacock, W. A. Clarke and J. Buckton.
