WAIRARAPA GIRL GUIDES.
ROYAL INSPECTION. DUCHESS OF YORK'S VISIT. There was a good attendance of members at a meeting of the executive of the Wairarapa Girl Guides Association held yesterday. The district commissioner, Mrs. T. Jordan, presided. it was stated that the Duchess of York, who is a vice-president of the Girl Guide movement in England, had expressed a wish to inspect as many companies of Girl Guides in New Zealand as possible. It was decided to notify all companies in the Wairarapa to parade in Masterton on the occasion of the Rpyal visit on March 5. Mrs. Saville Smith was appointed district captain to take charge of th£ assembled companies. It was decided to give all possible support tp the project of reviving the ladies' swimming club in Masterton.
