MOUNT HOLDSWORTH.
MORE IMPROVEMENTS. WORK BY BOY SCOUTS AND OTHERS. Good work was accomplished by a working party of Boy Scouts and others at Mount Holdsworth on Saturday afternoon. Messrs Rigg Bros., R. J. Barton, R. Russell, and C. M. Strouts kindly loaned their cars for the conveyance of a party of Boy Scouts to the locality. Conveniences were erected for ladies and man, a copper fixed, notice board erected, and a collection box, for contributions towards improvements, was placed at the gate. Mr J. V. Garvitch kindly took several photographs for the club. The road is now levelled ready for metalling. The Boy Scouts’ work in cleaning up the fireplace of Bannister Hut, ana in metalling tho floor is greatly appreciated. A living chain was formed from the river to the hut for the transference of tho gravel. Before leaving, the Scouts tidied up the hut generally and left it in a spick and span condition.
