FEILDING SALE.
PRICES DECLINE. FEILDING, February 11. A very heavy yarding of 20,000 sheep was offered at the. Feilding sale to-day. The demand was not up to supply, the absence of rain no doubt making buyers’ ideas of values well below the reserves. A fair quantity of sheep and lambs were passed in. Prices showed a considerable decline, although taking the quuity into account, the fall was not so large as it appears, quality and condition being not nearly up to the standard of late sales. Lambs were in heavy supply, but the demand was not keen. A large number of pens were passed in. Fat ewes 12/-, 13/-, 14/- to 20/3; fat wethers, 18/7, 19/2, 20/6 (shorn), 22/-, 23/- (woolly); fat lambs 23/-. Two-tooth- wethers, 16/7, 17/4 to 20/6, 2!/6; two-tooth breeding ewes, 17/3/18/-, 24/-; b.f. lambs, 13/1, 13/6; good, 14/-, 15/7; medium, 9/-, 11/2, 12/11; inferior, 5/6 to 8/6; w.f. lambs good, 13/7, 14/10, 15/1, 15/10; medium 10/3, 10/6, 12/6, 12/8; inferior, 5/2, 7/8, 9/2, 9/6. A good yarding of cattle met with a dull sale. Practically all store cattle were passed in, no interest being taken in the offering.
