TOURING CRICKETERS.

PLAY HAWKE’S BAY. HOME SIDE COMPILE 247. NAPIER, February 11. The Melbourne cricketers opened the third match of the tour here to-day against Hawke’s Bay. Hansford captained the visiting side in place of W. W. Armstrong, who stood down. The home team opened first and made 247. The brightest patch of the innings was M. O’Brien’s display for 68. Wood too-k the bowling average with three wickets for 21. When stumps were drawn the visitors had lost one wicket for 102. Sandford was seen to advantage in compiling 56. HAWKE’S BAY.
