CHRISTCHURCH WOOL SALE. RISE IN CROSSBRED PRICES. MERINO TOPS THE SALE AT 22|d. CHRISTCHURCH, February. 10. The third Christchurch wool sale, which commenced last night, was concluded to-day. The brisk demand of the previous evening was fully maintained and there was practically a complete clearance. In the total catalogue of 20,052 bales, onljs 569 bales were passed. Bradford buyers took most of the wool to-day. Super* wools showed no advance on the Tiamru sale prices, but medium qualities of halfbred were from a halfpenny to peoy better, and all classes of fine and coarse crossbred up to a penny better. Thirteen bales of Merino wool topped the sale at 3B|d. Best Corriedale figure was 20£d. Following is the range of values:— Merino. —Super, 191 d to 22^1; medium, 17|d to 194 d; iiflferior 15d to 17}d. Corriedale. —Super, 18 jd to 20|d; medium, 15id to 16$d; inferior, 13£d to laid. Fine halfbred.—-Super to 20d, medium 17d to inferior, 14|d to 16id. Medium halfbred.—Super, 17d to 19d; nt editing 15jd to 16fd; inferior, l-31d to 15d. Coarse halfbred.— Super, 15-Jd to 16$d; medium to 15|d; inferior, 13d to 14d. Three-quart erbred.—Super, 15}d to 18£d; medium, 13jd to 15d; inferior, llid to 13id. Medium crossbred.—Super, 15d to 17d; medium, 13jd to lid; inferior, llfd to 13d. Coarse crossbred.—Super, 124 d to Mid; medium, lljd to 12|d; inferior, IOJd to lid. Pieces. —Merino. 14d to 17£d; halfbred, firsts, 15d to 18£d, seconds to 141 d; crossbred, first 10Id to 12Jd, seconds 81d to lOd. Locks.—Halfbred, B|d to 10}d; crossbred. 6d to Bd.
