BAG WASH.
A NEW MASTERTON INDUSTRY. Housewives in Mastertoil and district will learn with keen interest that the drudgery of the weekly wash-day will soon be a thing of tfid fmst. Two export laundrymen with a ’thorough knowledge of the trade, are opening up a Wairarapa .Steam Laundry in Masterton, and an up-to-date factory is being specially erected by Messrs. C. E. Daniell, Ltd., for the purpose in King Street, near the F.C.D.C. The very latest machinery is being installed and the proprietors, Messrs. Sifflet and Greenwood are determined to -conduct the business on the most approved city lines. By means of the “bag-wash” system housewives will bo enabled to have their washing called for, completed and delivered on-the same day. For the modest sum of 3/- the firm will wash as many clothes as can be squeezed into one of their special hags having a size of 3ft x 2ft. The firm will also be specialising in. other branches of laundry work particulars of which will be announced later. It is always pleasing to record the establishment of local industries, and there is no doubt that the new business will supply a long-felt want in the town. The firm hope .to commence operations on Monday hext.
