BRILLIANT FINALE.
MAORI TOUR CONCLUDES. HANDSOME WIN AT VANCOUVER. (Received Sunday, 11.45 p.m.) February 5. Displaying more finesse than exhibited in the first game at Vancouver, the Maoris concluded their visit by administering a real trouncing to an all Mainland team by 43 to 0. Tho Antipodeans were breaking away almost at will, and especially after half-time.* Van couver never had a chance, though in the last throe 'minutes they propelled the ball to within five yards of the Maori line. The latter held, however, and from that position Pelham, Kingi and Barclay started a run from line to lino for a final try by Barclay. The team was wonderful. Their brilliant passing electrified the crowd of 3509. Falwasser scored four tries, Potaka two, Barclay two, Kingi, Olsen, Matene, Pelham and Robinson one each. Matene and Robinson converted one each.—(Sydney “Sun.”)
