THE MARCONI COMPANY.
ADVISORY COMMITTEE SET UP. (Received Sunday, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, February 4. The chairman of the shareholders’ committee of the Marconi Company states that following the examination of Sir Gilbert Garnsey’s (chartered accountant) report by a sub-committee the board has agreed to the appointment of an advisory committed consisting of Sir Hugo Hirst, Lord Ashfield, Lord Buckland, and Mr G. A. Szarvasy, to make recommendations regarding the future control and conduct of the business of the company. The pledge of secrecy under which the sub-commit-tee is acting still applies.—(A. and N;Z.)
