RIFLE SHOOTING.

TUHIRANGI CLUB. OPENING OF THE SEASON. (“The Age” Special). The Tuhirangi Rifle Club opened its shooting season last Saturday in beautiful weather. The shooting throughout was fairly good, but at times the competitors were nonplussed at the vagaries of a light north-west breeze, which made it at times difficult for some of the shooters to find the target. The shoot was for the shield and clip and also the Sutherland and Carroll Rose Bowl, the latter trophy being for shooters handicapped at over 4.
