HIGH PRICES.
FOR JlliW ZEALAND SHEEP, tj; NEW SOUTH WALES PURCHASES. (Received Wednesday, 9.45 p.m.) SYDNEY, February 2. Several well-known New South Wales sheep men have paid, within the past week, record prices for New Zealand Romney Marsh sheep. Mr. Glasson o£ Molong gave five hundred guineas foe a four-tooth ram from the stud of Mr, Matthews, of Waiorongomai, and paid 155 and 150 guineas for two otheß rams. Mr. G. N. Magill, of Malong, purchasod a number of ewes. Mr. A. S. Carr, of Goulburn, paid six hundred guineas for a two-tooth ram from th« stud of Mr Ernost Short, of Mahua. Feilding. This animal is described as one of the best in New Zealand.— (P.A.).
