FRENCH' SUSPICION ABOtfflgß ... ■ ■ v,* ■. r
ARMS DISCOVERED.
(By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) < Cable Association.) Received iast, SSTight, 1i.35 .o/clock. 1 PARIS/ March 29i It is reported that 3500 field were found by the Allied Commission in the vicinity of Berlin, Altogether 12,000. guns, with GOOO aeroplanes, intact,, have been discovered through' out Germany, whereas, under the tehna of the Peace Treaty, Germany should not llavc more than 204 three-inch gujis and no aeroplanes. These 'discoveries, coupled with information in the possession of the French authorities, has aroused scepticism concerning Germany's intentions in French circles, where it is pointed out that Germany hitherto has failed . to take any steps to reduce the army to 200,000 men within the time limit, which will expire in a fortnight, while little has been dono in fulfilment "of tho thirty-six other clauses of the Treaty terms, the limit/ for which lias already expired. The -French Opinion is that Germany's objective is to gain time, hoping eventually to evade her obligations wholly or, at anyrate, partially.
