Mrs L. Moore, of Cole street, is at present visiting Wanganui.
Miss L. Eobieson, who has been on a trip to Mount Cook has returned to Masterton.
Mrs. Fentonhas returned to Masterton after a few weeks' holiday at the East Coast.
Mrs. Frank Smith who has been staying with Mrs. Kummer, Pownall Street, returned to Wanganui on Saturday last.
Miss Molly Matheson, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs W. B. Matheson, of Rongomai, underwent an operation for appendicitis in a private hospital in Pah'iatua last week. The many friends of the family will be pleased to know the operation was successful, and will wish the little patient a speedy recovery.
A pleasant little function was held at Longbush last week, as a farewell to Mr and Mrs J. Bannister, who intend leaving the district. During the course*of the evening, the guests of honour were presented by the" settlers with a beautiful silver tea.service. Dancing was kept up until au early hour of the morning, and a most enjoyable time was spent.
