PRICE OF WHEAT
" FOR THE COMING SEASON. i The Wairarapa branch of the Farm* era'' Union recently requested Mr 6. E. Sykes, M.P., to ascertain tho full text of the wheat agreement for the present season. The following h ft wire received from the Minister for Agriculture:— "G."B. Sykes, Esq., M.P.—Price to North Island grower good milling wheat seven shillings and seven pence buahfel for Tuscan, seven shillings and tenpence Hunters, eight shillings and one penny Pearl; sacks 2s 4d for 48inch, 2s 3d for 46, on trucks nearest station, Maximum price to North Island grower under milling quality, seven shillings and five pence, sacks extra, all varieties. When sold whole* sale by v merchants, brokers, or any other purchasers, from growers, seven shillings and six penco, sacks extra. When sold retail Lyttelton price seven shillings and one penny, plus 15 per «ent, plus transit charges; equivalent price Masterton this basis should not exceed nine shillings bushel, sacks extra. Above prices rise half-penny bushel per month, May to October incluisve.—W. NOSWOBTHY."
