THE LICENSING ACT

fWO INFORMATIONS DISMISSED.

At the Police Court in Masterton yesterday morning, Mr S. L. P. Free, i.M., gave his decisions in the Lquoi cases heard on Monday last against vVillie Burridge, brewei. Hia Worship said that with reference to the charge of bringing liquor into the no-license district of Masterton except in pursuance of an order signed by the purchaser, he was satisfied the order given complied with ihe.requiremqints of the Statute. The information would be dismissed. The second, information was for keeping liquor for sale within the nolicense district of Masterton. An order had been given by a man named Miller to have liquor delivered to an address every Saturday. Miller had •ceased to live at the address, but liquor continued to bo delivered there. There was no evidence to show that Burridge knew that Miller had left the address. His Worship said that, whatever his opinion may be on the matter, a decision on a similar case had been given by Judge Edwards in the Court of Appeal, and he felt bound by that decision. That being so, he had no option but to dismiss the information

. Mr R. R. Burridge appeared for the deefndant.
