AMATEUR ATHLETIC CLUB
SPECIAL MEETING. A special meeting of the committee of the above club was held in the y.M.C.A. Rooms last evening to receive the balance sheet of the recent social and make final arrangements for tho championship team's trip to Wanganui. The nett profit from the social showed the small amount of £2, and it was decided to ask the Borough Council for a donation. The team's departure was definitely fixed for the 11.30 a.m. train on Friday next (the 26th inst.). Two more events were arranged for Thursday next, viz., 100 yds. all off scratch, and a 220 yds. handicap novice race. - It was announced at the meeting that a £5 5s prize will be awarded by the.. Wanganui: Club to the athlete (any club) scoring most championship points.
