SUPER-PHOSPHATES.
THE ATJSTBALIAN SUPPLY.
At the Farmers' Union meeting, held At Carterton on Saturday afternoon last, Mr F. B. Ward, of tho Agricultural Department, made a rather important statement in connection with the Government's negotiations with the Commonwealth regarding a supply x of superphosphates for the Dominion. ,', i. ' i Mr Ward said that he had heard in, Wellington, within the last few days that the Australian Government had replied stating that it could not see its way clear to release any ot i£s Bupply. "That is absolutely the latest information, and I do not think that we can look forward to obtaining "anything from there even m the future," concluded the speaker.
