EVIDENCE AT THE INQUEST,
(Received Last Night, 11.15 o'clock.) NEW YORK, D«c. 30.
Bhe evidence in the Calumet disaster inquest went to show that a man wearing the membership badge of the Citizens' AHiance,: which endeavoured .to suppress the recent strike, shouted' "Fire!" Other witnesses were positive that no such badge was worn. , Mr Moyera, President of the Western Federation of Railwaymen, underwent an operation and had the bullet extracted from his back. He declares that he was both shot and clubbed when he refused to receive citizens' subscriptions for the relief fund.
