A CHRISTMAS DISPLAY.

The history of Messrs A. Henderson and Go's, business as manufacturing, jewellers, silversmiths, and opticians, is a record of what business aptitude, spirited enterprise, conscientious zeal, and a quick perception of public taste and requirements will accomplish. The business was first established in 1885, and since that period, as a result of enterprise, reinforced by the resolve to count no pains too great tq establish ari enduring reputation for the quality of their goods and for giving complete satisfaction to their customers. This has been the secret of their success, and the public soon found its value. At this festive season of the year the establishment i-s more than usually attractive, and the fine plate-glassi -windows, in which a brilliant display Is most artistically •ai ranged, almost compel the visitor to step inside, where the profusion of plof e and jewellery is indeed a sightworth seeing. The leather and\ toilet goods in the ladies' department are as usual one of the features of this year's show, arid it would be impossible to particularise the countless mimber of beautiful presents suitable fdr ladies in this, section. Coming to case goods, one cannot but be impressed with the extensive and wellassorted high-claps stocks. _ The array of .jewellery this year is particularly brilliant, and the extensive lines include all the famous makes of gold and silver wafchest, dainty gold-ex-panding wrist watches (gold and leather straps), gold> an pearl, enamel, silver, and oxidised watches, arid a special line of ladies' plain case Rotherhnms, half-hoop diamond ringiS, pendants, and bangles. Touching on tlie manufacturing jewellery department, it is worthy of mention that all work is executed on the premises. . and a first-class engraver is employed, and kept constantly busy. An? other important branch is the optical department, which is replete with a stock of modern sight testing appliances, and a full assortment of different styles of spectacle frames.
