Coming to case goods, one cannot but be impressed with the extensive and wellassorted high-claps stocks. _ The array of .jewellery this year is particularly brilliant, and the extensive lines include all the famous makes of gold and silver wafchest, dainty gold-ex-panding wrist watches (gold and leather straps), gold> an pearl, enamel, silver, and oxidised watches, arid a special line of ladies' plain case Rotherhnms, half-hoop diamond ringiS, pendants, and bangles. Touching on tlie manufacturing jewellery department, it is worthy of mention that all work is executed on the premises. . and a first-class engraver is employed, and kept constantly busy. An? other important branch is the optical department, which is replete with a stock of modern sight testing appliances, and a full assortment of different styles of spectacle frames.
