Carpentier, the French champion boxer, was entertained by the French sporting world at luncheon in Boulevard cafe in Paris. The Boulevard outside was rendered impassable by the immense crowd assembled to catch a glimpse of the champion. CARPENTIER IN THE MUSICHALLS. £'Boo WEEKLY. (Received Last Night, 11.15 o'clock.) LONDON, Dec. 16. Carpentier is receiving £BOO weekly from the Folies Bergeres, Paris. He declined a similar offer from the London Palladium.
