VISIT OF ENGLISH TEAM. (By Telegraph—Prm Aaocidtum.) CHKLSTCHURCH, Last Night. A meeting of the executive of the New Zealand Hockey Association yesterday received a delegate from the Auckland Hockey Association/ sent down specially to'discuss the question of the visit of a British team to New Zealand. The delegate, Mr Norton, stated that his association was prepared to guarantee a sum of _£39o toward the expenses of the tour. The matter was discussed at considerable length, and the opinion was expressed that as the guarantees offered .now reached a total of within £2OO to £3OO of the estimated coat of the tour, no difficulty would be experienced in obtaining the balance, if the matter was taken up enthusiastically by affiliated associations. It was resolved that a previous motion to abandon the tdur be rescinded, and that the English Association be cabled to proceed with arrangements for the tour.
