(Received Last Night, 9.45 o'clock.) "NEW YORK, December 4. f Great floods have occurred at Dallas, Texas, due to the sudden rise of the Colarado rivor. Seven persons were drowned. Far mere' crops have been enormously damaged. One hundred persons were marooned at. the village of Grand Prairie, when the floods cut all communication. '

FIFTEEN THOUSAND HOMELESS

WHOLE TOWNS INUNDATED

(Received Last Night, 11.35 o'clock.) NEW YORK, December 4. The Dallas floods are spreading. Fifteen thousand people are homeless within an area of two hundred miles by one hundred. Scores are taking refuge on treelogs and floating houses. The railroads have been forced to suspend communication. Whole sections of the -town of Vaco are under water. TEe Troops have been ordered out to present looting. The town of Hetty is flooded,, and the inhabitants, fearing further inundations, are fleeing. There has been little suffering as yet. Charitable organisations surrounding the cities are canng for the homeless.
