THOMPSOH°PAYKE PICTURE! "THE TWIN SISTERS." The change of programme to bo presented at tho Thompson Payne Pictures t-hix evening is of a most alluring nature. The main feature will. be a Parisian romance, entitled "The Twiri Si-sters." This drama is 3500 feet in length .and deals with the career of two very handsome .sisters bearing a. wonderful resemblance to each other. So great is this resemblance that it is really impossible to identify one sister from the other. ,/n adopting their avocations, one becomes ji. noted prima donna, and tho other follows art as a career. The different linos bring each sister into a totally different set of acquaintances, and many trying experience--" are recorded. The prima donna has ;i love affair with a wealthy hanker, which leads to a tragic conclusion. Tho artisit is arrested for a crime which was actually committed by her sister, and is only saved from prison by die latter c«ming fonvard and making confession of tho crime. Tho picture is an excellent one. Staged and mounted in that sumptuous style which characterises all the works of the, Oines Co., and acted Ijy tho firm's clever artists in masterly manner, the subject is ono of the greatest yet submitted for the approval of any audience. Several other dramatic items will include "In The Hands of Blacklegs" (Kalem strike drama), "A Woman's Love" (a typical Ltibin feature), "When Men Forget" (a pathetic romance hv the Selig Company) and "A Summer Idyll" (Aiß.). Several science and humorous selections will be included in "The River Ghient" (Aquila), "The Now Cook" (Lubin), "Views of Capua" (Cines coloured), and "Twixt Love and Fire" (Keystone). Incidental music Will be rendered in a capable manner 'by Reiliana Boyes' orchestra.

"ENGINE OF DESTRUCTION."

The change of programme at the Masterton Town Hall to-night promises to be much above the ordinary, the series including star selections from the great film makers of the Continent and America. The feature of the programme is a Gaumbnt drama "The Engine of Destruction" a .powerful production detailing the results of a young engineer's labours in the invention of a remarkable gun, I the making of which has been so intricate that no one unacquainted with it cotild manipulate ihe weapon except at grave personal risk. The story tells how an unscrupulous rival endeavours to steal the secret of the wonderful invention, and how his lack of knowledge almost leads to a terrible disaster, which is only averted by the timely arrival of the young inventor. The tale ia ia thrilling and deeply interesting one. The Edison .•.■"fjduy iii responsible for a fine dramatic production entitled "Billy's Sweetheart," in which a story full, of dramatic power and realistic episodes is portrayed in a thrilling manner. "The Enemy's Baby" is an A.B. drama in which politics figure largely. Supporting these gems, there is a remarkably fine series „o£ scenic, comic, industrial and educational, f ilma, going to complete a programme , of all rotund excellence. Included are: Warwick Chronicle (topical),' "Buddist Temples" (scenic), "Wreck' of the Tyrone" (topical), "Arabia Takes the Health Cure" (comedy), "Redskins of Yesterday and To-day," "Broncho Billy's Wife," and "Bunny and Cutey" (Vitagraph comedy).
