CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night
Notice was served on E. J. Hbwr ard, of the Strike Committee, by the police to-day, in connection- with a publication which the Strike Committee has been issuing. He is called upon to appear before tEe Magistrate to-morrow at lioon, when application will be made for Teave to commence a prosecution against him under section 11 of the Law of Libel Act Amendment, 1910, for a publication called. "The Christchurch Strike Bulletin," dated November 26th, untne heading, "Scabs, male and female." The notice is issued by Mr T. W, Stringer, Crown Prosecutor. It is understood that similar notices are. being served oil Messrs" rEllis, McComb, Hunter, Sullivan, Howard, Lurch and Thorn, who are understood to be also members on the Strike Committee, under whose official authorisation the "Strike Bulletin" is issued.
