THE SUFFRAGETTES.
PROTECTION OF MR LLOYD GEORGE.
REMARKABLE PRECAUTIONS
(Received December 1, 9 a.m.) LONDON, November 30
Remarkable, and successful precautions were taken to protect Mr Lloyd George (Chancellor of the Exchequer) from Suffragettes during his visit to Holloway. Suffragettes attempted to hum the new Caerlion Training College, at Newport, which is costing £40,000. The Home Secretary (Mr R. McKenna) recently laid the foundationstone of the college. Fuses x were laid on the woodwork, which was saturated with petroleum. The fire was discovered in the early stages, and serious damage was averted.
