£100,000,000 TO BE SPENT,

Mr Thompson, tho American Consul, addressing ihe Sheffield Chamber of Commerce, stated that in anticipation of the opening of the Panama Canal, private and public bodies were spending £100,000,000 in improving harbour facilities, railroad connections, and canalising the rivers in connection with the seven ports from San Diego to Prince Rupert.
