POST AND TELEGRAPH OFFICERS.
MEETING AT NEW PLYMOUTH. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Last Nigrt. At a large meeting of the Taranaki branch of the Post and Telegraph Officers' Association, the resolutions submitted to the Public Service Commissioners by the delegates from the conference were amended to read as follows: "That this conference of Post and Telegraph officers, after comparing the classification list for the post and telegraph officers, is of opinion that the importance of tho duties performed by the officers of the Post and Telegraph Department has been under-estimated, and respectfully requests that the Commissioners further review the position after hearing the representatives of the deputation of delegates"; "That this branch of th Post and Telegraph Officers' Association has the fullest confidence m the delegate.sent to the late conference ,and is in entire s>ympathy with the resolution passed by that body.
