WANGANUI SHOW.
"THE PEOPLE'S DAY." (By Telegraph — Press Association.), WANGANUI, Last Night. The Wanganui show was poncluded to-day in beautiful weather, and with li very large 'attendance. The championship for hack was won by Mr Ernest Short's Scout, and the championship harness horse by Mr J. Hetferson's Emerald Isle. The competitions resulted as follows: Leaping ('steeolechnse stvle).—H. W. Brewers Utility 1, W. H. Booth's Hikurangi 2, O. A. Jones' Blackboy 3. Ladies' leaping—W. H. Booth's Hikunuigi 1, J. D. Smith's Rufus 2, G. R. Jones' Blackboy 3. Miss Smith, on Bufns, was adjudged the best lady rider.
