(Received Last Night, 5.5 o'clock.) MELBOURNE, Nov. 15. . Mr J. Hill, chairman of the Geelong Harbour Trust, received the following letter from Westrali i: ''l need £SOO, and unless it is lodged in the General Post Office-, Melbourne, next Tuesday, I am going to shoot you. I want the money for clothing and medical assistance, and to help me generally. If given a chance, I shall distinguish myself as one of the greatot statesmen of modern times." Mr Hill info;~ned the polir-e. who arrested a young man on his arrival from Westralia. His stea-ner. effects contained a revolver and fifty cartridges.
