WORK AT TIMARU.
A STEAMER GETS AWAY. TIMARU, Last Night. Tho .Storm is still held up, but the Holmdale got away for Hokitika about 4 p.m. The crew gave notice at 2 p.m. yesterday. Being ready at 12.30. the captain hauled off from the wharf. After some shilly-shnlly-
ing, tho crow remained' on board, except a fireman. Another was obtained, and the boat got away. The Kairaki crew was paid off to-day, but another crew was engaged, and she will get away to-morrow. The captain of the Holmdale sent to tho 3>epartment for an interpretation of the articles, and received the roply: "The coastal final port of discharge is the port where the vessel completes the dischargo of her cargo after tho round trip."
