LARKIN'S IMPRISONMENT.
NEWSPAPER OPPOSITION,
LIBERAL PARTY RESENTFUL
(Received Last Night, 10.30 o'clock.) LONDON, Nov. 12.
The Chronicle states that Larkin's imprisonment has occupied the attention of the Cabinet/
The strongest resentment has been shown by the Liberal party over the matter, and representations have been made tol the Government by of its most influential supporters, that Cabinet should not be responsible for Larkin's prosecution, which was due to the gross ineptitude of the "Dublin Castle authorities. The Chronicle adds that doubtless when Cabinet receives the report, Larkin will oe released. The charge of sedition- : the Chronicie says, belongs to a past age. when free speech was unknown, and popular liberties were unestablished.
The Daily News lias expressed similar opinions. The executive of the Miners' Federation has protested against Larkin's imprisonment. . The Bishop of Oxford, writing to a protest meeting, said Larkin should be immediately released.
