A DRAMATIC ARREST.

WELLIXGTON, Last Night. The arrest of prominent strike leaders was carried out in a dramatic manner this evening. A large crowd of Federationists went out to Petotu; to attend a mass meeting accompanied by the Watersiders' Band. ♦ On returiYing to Lambton station the strains of "Auld Lang Syne" were just dying away. ' As the train slowed down, and the passengers stepped on to the platform, eight detectives stepped forward and; quickly secured the three men. <
The defectives hurried the prisoners off to the Lambton police station, accompanied by a crowd of people and the Watersiders' Band. Fraser is charged with having, on October 29th, at Wellington, incited persons to ; resist the police in the execution of their duty, and inciting people to steal food. Semple and Bailey are charged with making seditious speeches. Harry Holland, editor of the Maoriland Worker was arrested at his home in Brooklyn to-night, «lso charged with sedition. !
