In view of the possible hold up of the intercolonial vessels, merchants and business men generally, all over New Zealand, had been depending on tho 'Frisco mail connection tarremain intact. The consequence was that the mails which were shipped dn the Moana on Friday afternoon, when it was thought she was to get away, were unusually large.
