The Postmaster-General, announces that he is prepared to consider applications to tender for the construction of the second of- three highpower wireless stations of the Imperial chain, from any wireless company able, by meahs by a practical demonstration, to satisfy him as to their efficiency. The system extends.over two thousand miles day and night. Applications are required to be in by November 21st.

The Marconi Company proposes to lower the charges from Britain to Canada to fivepence per word, also to reduc ethe charge for deferred messages. It is hoped by means of duplex and automatic system to send f a humlfed' words per minute.
