fizzled out in a remarkable manner. After Messrs "Fisher, Cook and Hughes had spoken, Mr Cook claimed that it was an ordinary notice of motion, which must be adjournec? at the end of two hours' debate.
The Speaker upheld Mr Cook's contention.
Several stormy scenes "occurred. Mr Cook stated subsequently that the motion would now disappear from the business paper, and the Government would treat it with contempt, because Mr Fisher hfISS riot raised any new matter in his speech.
