MARTON WINS THE HURDLES

(Received Last Night, 9.15 o'clock.) MELBOURNE, Nov. 6. Tlie following were the results of 'to-day's racing:— Hurdles. —Marton 1, Bullawarra 2, Powerful 3. Seven stalled. Marton wont to the front on entering the straight after the first round, and was never afterwards headed. Won by three lengths, five lengths between second and third. Time, smin 45seC.

Mimosa. Plate. —Traquette 1, Carlita 2, Fidelio 3. Five started. Won in a canter by three lengths, f?ix lengths between second and third. Time, lmin lojsec.

Linlithgow Handicap.—Andelosia 1, Golden Crrip 2, Danaus 3. The other starters were Ireland, Broadsword, Captain White, Carnell and Diva's Isle. Won by a neck, one and a half lengths between second and third. Carnival Plate. —Flaith 1, Atora 2, Meritus 3. ' Ten started. . Won by two lengths, with half a length between second and third. Time, 2-nin 'Bisee..

O'iiks.—Mint Sauce 1, Monodia 2, Beck's Lager 3. Also started : Royal Silver,„ Posilpo,, St. Bees, Quair Bum, and Herring Bone. Won easily by a length, with four lengths between second and third. Time, 2min 37|scc.

Veteran's Handicap.—Sea Prince 1 Uncle Matt 2, Pearl King 3. Sevet started. Won by one and a hal lengths, two lengths between secom and third. Time, 2min 37£ see.
