UPPER PLAIN RAINFALL.
* Mr J! 0. Boddington reports that rain fell on eleven days in October; maxvmim fall in 24 hears 1.41 inches registered on 19th, arid 1.17 inches on 11th; minimum 1 point on 3rd. Totnl for the month, 66.29 inches, as compared with p. 34, 7.22, 1,11, 3.95, 3.63, 3.54, 2.08, 2.64, and 4,53 inches in 1904, 1905, 1906, 1907, 1908, 1909, 1910, 1911, and 1912 respectively.. Total for the past 10 months, 31-68 inches, as co n pared with 43.09 inches for last year, the average for the corresponding period being 38.59 inches. Consequently the rain for tho current year is 6.73 inches short of the average during the past nine years. There were seven nights with frost, the heaviest being 13 degrees on the 3rd, and 9 degrees on the 4th.
