EKETAHUNA FARMERS.

VOLUNTEERS FOR SERVICE. EKETAHUNA, Last Night. A public meeting this afternoon, convened Tby the Farmers' Union, was largely attended, and the following resolution was carried: "That this meeting endorsee the efforts of the Government to maintain law and order, and pledges itself to do all possible to supply men and horses for Wellington." The volunteers enrolled included the president and vicepresident of the local Farmers' Union, and local members of the provincial executive. A Dairy Union ofi'er to allow the closed butter factory in Eketahima to be used for temporary cold storage for dairy produce, was received with acclamation.
