INDIAN COMMAND.
GENERAL BEAUCHAMP DUFF APPOINTED.
(Received this morning 12.30 o'clock.) LONDON, Oct. 22. General Sir Beauchamp Duff has been appointed commander-in-chief in India.
It is understood that General Sir lan Hamilton refused the position, desiring to visit Australia and New Zealand.
