HUNTLY MINERS.
A THREATENED STRIKE. {By Tftegmph—Press Association*) AUCKLAND, Last Night. At a mass meeting of miners at Huntly on Saturday, it was almost unanimously decided not to proceed' to work on Monday, owing to sixteen miners receiving notice of the termination of their engagements as from October 17th. The company states that the men have been put off owing to the commencement of summer slackness.
