THOMFtON*PAYNE PICTURE!.

"DETECTIVE BURNS." A very Targe audience was present last evening at the T.P. Electric Theatre, when the current change received <m excellent reoeption. Detective Burns in "The Land Swindle Exposure," evinced well merited appreciation, and is one of the (finest detective dramas yet shown here. "The Burglar Who Bobbed Death," a pathetic drama by the Selig Ooy. was well 7 received. "The River Pirates" a Lubin feature, was an exciting item that went off well. * In "The Warti*ne Prisoner," a Kalem production, a unique story was unfolded. An old veteran who has been refused' a pension on account of an incident in his war career, rescues a city lady, who, to show her gratitude, asks why he is sad, and on leaving, sets about td gain him the pension, which she eventually does. A very pleasing diversion in this picture is the ilhtsftm showing the occurrence of the incident in question during an engagement. Several scenic and educational items included "Winchester," "Baseball Industry," and "Industrious Japan." A splendid comedy section included "Bill Mistakes his Overcoat," "Polidor is Invisible," and "The Egg Powder." This programme will be shown to-night. A special matinee will be given at' 2.30 on Saturday.
