PAHIATUA STOCK SALE
Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd. report on their Pahiatua stock sale, held ota Tuesday, as follows: —We had a large yarding of sheep and cattle, which we submitted to a largo attendance of buyers, and have to report a good sale. Quotations: —Fat ewes 23s Bd, fat hoggets 17s 4d, ewes and lambs 23s 3d, ewes and B.F. lambs 27s 7d, fat and forward ewes 17s 8d to 18s 4d, wether hoggets 14s 4d to 15s 2d, ewe hoggets 16s 4d. Springing heifers (best) £5 10s to £5 12s 6d, springing heifers (backward sorts) £3 17s 6d to £4 17s 6d, heifers and calves £4 10s and £3 10s, empty heifers £3 to £3 2s, dairy cows £3 17s 6d to £5, yearling steers £2 17s, 18months steers £3, 20-months steers £3 19s, 2-year steers £4 2s to £4 ss, 3-year steers £5 7s 6d to £5 14s, store cows £2 13s 6d.
WAIPOUA STOCK SALE. Messrs W. and G. Turnbull and Co., Ltd., report having held their usual weekly sale in their Waipoua saleyards on Wednesday, 15th inst., when they offered a good yarding of sheep, but only a email entry of cattle, which met with good competition ,and the whole yarding changed hands at the following prices: Ewes with lambs 23s 6d, woolly wether hoggets 16s lid, woolly wether ewes 16s Id, mixed sex hoggets 12s Id, 13s 6d to 15s 3d, old store ewes Bs, fair store ewes 13s 2d, springing heifers £6, £6 10s 6d to £7 6s, springing cows £6 to £7, fat cows £5 to £5 10s, yearling heifers £2, yearling ■steers 35s 6d to £2, cows and calves £4.
