DETECTIVES ESCORT MINISTERS (Received Oct. 15, 9.55 a.m.) LONDON, Oct. 14. Owing to fear of the Suffragettes, detectives escorted Ministers to a Cabinet meeting in Downing Street. Siiffragettes did sentry-go in Parliament Street, They carried sandwich boards. x MRS PANKHURST'S VISTT TO AMERICA. SHE WILL BE"DETAIMED. (Received Oct. 15, 1 p.m.) WASHINGTON, Oct. 14. The Immigration Board has decided to detain Mrs Pankhurst at Ellis Island when she arrives until a special inquiry is held. Societies favouring women's suffrage have not yet taken action. It is likely the question of Mrs Pankhurst'a admission will be referred to the courts.
