ROBBERS SURPRISED.
FATAL FIGHT WITH POLICE. 'Times' — 'Sydney Sun' Sperial Cables. (Received Oct. 10, 8.30 a.m.) ST. PETERSBURG, Oct. 9. The police surprised four thieves who were entering a jeweller's shop at Vladikavkaz, Northern Caucasia. Two of the police were killed and three injured. The robbers looted the shop and then escaped in a waiting van.
