TRIPLE ALLIANCE.

GERMANY AND AUSTRIA

DESIGNS ON TURKEY IN ASIA

'Times' —'Sydney Sun' Special Cablea. (Received Last Night, 6.40 o'clock.)

BERLIN, October 8,

An article published in a monthly magazine, alleged to be founded on conversations with the late Count von Aehrentlial, states that the periodical renewals of the Triple Alliance only refer to German and Austrian agreements with Italy, whereas the Austro-German agreement is renewed automatically until one or the other Power gives notice of renunciation. The avowed purpose of the article is to promote co-operation between Berlin and Vienna, in view of strong united action in anticipation of the approaching partition of Turkey in Asia.
