THE AUSTRALIAN FLEET.
DEMONSTRATION IN SYDNEY
(Received Last Night, 8.45 o'clock.) SYDNEY, Oct. 7.
The citizens were to-day afforded an opportunity of viewing the personnel of the newly-arrived fleet. A body of five hundred strong, including contingents from the two British warships, followed by 700 members »of the naval reserves and Senior Naval Cadets, assembled at the Government House grounds, and marched with hayonetted rifles on their shoulders through the principal streets. They presented abrave sjjow, and a large and enthusiastic gathering lined the route of the procession.
