[ IN NEW YORK CITY. DAMAGE ESTIMATED AT MILLIONS. (Received Last Night, 10.20 o'clock.) NEW YORK, October 2. A rain storm flooded the subways and stopped the traffic for several hours. Two persons were electrocuted while operating the electric tram system. Brooklyn Bridge pedestrian traffic was the greatest since the bridge was opened, as the traction companies were helpless. « Four men were buried in a sewer, which caved in. They were resetted alive. Lightning fired an elevator railway train, but the heavy rain extinguished the flames before - much damage was done. Property losses amount to millions of dollars.
